The Benevento Mentoring Program
The Benevento Mentoring program, named in honor of former SIPGSO president Nicole Benevento, is a peer mentoring program that matches first-year students with their more senior classmates. It is designed to be a network of social and academic support, and to facilitate relationships between students who might not otherwise work together. Mentors and mentees discuss their research projects and outside interests on a regular basis through the new student’s first year, and many mentor/mentee pairs continue their meetings throughout their academic careers. For more information on the mentoring program, please contact Anna Torres Cacoullos (firstname.lastname@example.org).
